MCF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a very successful, independent Accountancy firm in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear. Established in 2004, our Client is a well-known firm who serves both private Clients and Companies in Wallsend and the surrounding areas, including Newcastle and South Shields. Alongside general accountancy services such as bookkeeping and payroll, they also offer specialist taxation services, such as tax investigation fees insurance.As part of ongoing growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time, qualified and experienced Accountant/Tax Assistant into the Wallsend Office.

The role involves working with other staff members and reporting directly to the Management. You will be working with a friendly, growing team, whilst managing your own Client portfolio.

​

Role & Responsibilities:

• General bookkeeping duties for a variety of clients.

• Preparing VAT returns

• Dealing with and engaging with clients

• Support the wider team in the business operation

​

Requirements:​

• ACCA/ACA qualified or qualified by experience

• Experience with Cloud based services, Sage online, Xero, Excel etc

• Currently working in an accountancy practice with a minimum of 3 years experience
